Translate Design is a web-based collaboration tool that helps you manage your translation project online. You can upload your Adobe InDesign .idml, .txt, Microsoft Word or PowerPoint file, then share the text content with translators and then download a translated version back in the original format with the layout and design still in place resulting in faster translations and increased productivity.
Our system currently supports files in the Adobe InDesign .idml, text .txt, Microsoft Word .docx and PowerPoint .pptx file formats. We are working on adding other files formats like PDF and more. Our application also allows project managers and translators to download an excel version of their project after uploading their project file, which they can use to do the translations offline and then upload it once ready.
No, using machine translation to automatically translate your document is not free however it is very cheap and cost only $1 per 50,000 characters. You will also have to pay $1 when you download the completed translated document back in the original format with the layout and design preserved.
Yes, you can import your Translation Memory from other software and platforms as long as it is in the .tmx file format.
Yes, you can do translations from your phone and mobiles devices. Translate Design is an online platform which means you can access it from anywhere in the world and from any device connected to the internet. You can log in from your mobile devices to see the progress made on your project, make changes, send reminders and more.
No, you do not need a credit card or bank card to use our application. Our platform is free to register and use. You only pay whenever you decide to download a translated language back in the original file format with the layout and design saved. You can pay the $1.00 download charge by either PayPal or a Credit or Bank Card. It is Pay-As-You-Go so you only pay when you download a completed translation.
