A quality review does not need to start with a complex model. The first useful checks are often basic: correct source, correct units and a clear statement of purpose. Run them before adding presentation detail or asking someone else to make a decision from the scene.
Check the evidence behind the model
Confirm that the source drawings are the intended revisions and that the dimensions have identifiable references. List heights or boundaries that were assumed because the drawing did not establish them. A reviewer should be able to distinguish a measured room from an illustrative one. Keep the evidence list with the model rather than only in a conversation that may be forgotten after the project is handed over.
Check internal consistency
Review units, room sizes, coordinates and floor assignments. Look for duplicate spaces, unexpected gaps and overlaps. Compare a few known dimension chains across neighboring rooms to see whether the model reproduces the source relationships. The checks should match the representation: a rectangular room study cannot validate an irregular building outline simply because its boxes are well formed. Mark any simplification that affects the question being discussed.
Inspect the exported file
Do not assume the receiving application will interpret every setting as expected. Open the chosen export and confirm a known size, orientation and object count. Check whether labels, quantities or review notes travel with it; different formats carry different information. If the recipient needs a detail that the export omits, provide an accompanying document or agree a different workflow. A successful download is not the same as a successful handoff.
Close the review with a bounded statement
State what was checked, what remains unresolved and what the model may be used for. Avoid a broad approved label that could be interpreted as construction approval. TranslateDesign's preview can support local review cards, notes and concept exports, but no professional validation is supplied by moving a card to Complete. The human reviewer must decide whether the evidence is sufficient for the next specific task.
- Verify source revision and measurement references.
- Check geometry at the level the tool can represent.
- Inspect an export in the receiving workflow.
- Keep unresolved questions and use limits with the package.
